When I'm not teaching or doing research, I like to travel, watch movies, and read about technology. I enjoy being outdoors, and during my travels, I balance exploring both natural wonders and the man-made marvels of modern and ancient civilizations.
In my opinion, Sequoia National Park is one of the most magical natural places you can visit in the United States.

In my travels abroad, I have explored five of the seven continents. During my time in Asia, I visited Japan and climbed Mt. Fuji, the country's highest peak.
I have also explored Dubai's futuristic cityscape and desert landscapes. This was a dream come true for me, as I had always wanted to visit and ascend the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa.
Recently, I fulfilled my mother's lifelong dream by traveling to Tromsø, Norway, where we experienced the magnificent Midnight Sun.
